The Parish Church of St Michael & All Angels has enjoyed a long and varied history of liturgical music.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The choir practice<\/a> on Thursdays\u00a06.00pm –\u00a07.30pm, sing<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0at our Sunday Eucharist 10<\/span>am<\/span>\u00a0and our evening services at 6pm.\u00a0<\/span>All are welcome to join us.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Choral Evensong is on the 2nd<\/span>\u00a0Sunday of the month.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\nThere has been an organ to lead the music since at least 1600, shortly after the time of Berna<\/span>rd Gilpin. I<\/span>t is reputed that our church was the first in the Diocese to introduce a surplice choir since the Reformation.<\/span>The choir is made up of a group men and wome<\/span>n who lead the singing in our services and take\u00a0<\/span>an active<\/span>\u00a0part<\/span>\u00a0in our<\/span>\u00a0church community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music<\/a> and take<\/span>\u00a0part in their events.<\/span><\/p>\n
