Dear Friends,
Our 80th Anniversary of VE Day ‘Friends weekend’ started last night with a brilliant concert in Church with the Houghton brass band, it continues on Saturday 10th May with a coffee morning in church from 10am. All are welcome to come along and visit the church while having a slice of cake with a cup of tea
On Sunday join us for Holy Communion at 8.30 am, led by Rev’d John Barron.
At 10.00 am our Service of Holy Communion will be led by Rev’d John Barron and our Reader, Ros Pickersgill.
At 6.00 pm Rev’d John Barron will lead us in Friends of the Houghton Parish Church Trust Choral Evensong, followed by the Friends AGM.
The ‘Friends weekend’ concludes on Monday 12th May at 7.00pm with The George Whitfield Organ Concert with Dr Gordon Stewart. At this FREE concert Dr Gordon Stewart will be playing two military marches for the first time in support of St Michael’s celebration of the ending of the 2WW.
