The Team was formed towards the end of 2007 with the plan of raising funds towards the cost of Church re-ordering. The Team is small and since being formed have delivered a range of events both in the Kepier Hall and the Church.

The secret, if there is one, was to make the events inclusive to everyone; young, old, Church goers and the wider community.  At the same time we have also attempted to offer a variety of events too. As time has progressed the focus on raising funds remains, but it has also become apparent that we have developed a social aspect. This as an important ministry of reaching out into the community where the various members of the community meet as one family to dance, enjoy food and share our common life in Houghton-le-Spring.

The events have taken various forms from: – Ceilidh Bands, Brass Band Concerts, BBQ’s, Mediaeval Banquets and many more.
