🕯️ 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆: 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 🕯️ 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆: 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵! 🕯️ This weekend at St Michael and All Angels’, we celebrate the Feast of Candlemas—the festival of light. We know that bringing children to church can sometimes feel like a bit of a “juggling act,” so we’ve tried to set up our services to be a space where every generation feels at home. What to Expect for Families: 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲: Children are a vital part of our community and are welcome in all our services. We’ve a special area at the side of church with activity sheets and a playmat area with toys for toddlers and babies. Don’t worry about a bit of noise—it’s the sound of a growing church! 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲: Part way through the service, our older children (age 4+) can head to their own dedicated space in our mezzanine. While the “grown-ups” listen to the sermon, our ‘Young Church’ leaders help the kids explore the theme of the day through activities tailored just for them. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿: The children rejoin the main service afterward to receive a Blessing or share in Communion. After the service we have refreshments and time to chat with others. It’s the perfect way to wrap up our time together as one big family.
