Funerals

To arrange a funeral, the first point of contact is your chosen funeral director who will get in touch with a member of the church staff on your behalf. One of the clergy will then contact you to arrange a visit in order to discuss the service and to offer support. Should you wish to speak to anyone concerning a funeral at St. Michael’s your initial point of contact would be Rev’d John Barron (0191 5847657).

Helping those who are nearing their death and those who have lost family or friends is a very important part of the ministry of St Michael and All Angels. The clergy and other members of the staff team are trained and have a lot of experience in helping those who are grieving, so please get in contact.

We have a monthly support group for those who are bereaved called Light.
