The Original Rebel: It’s Gilpin Sunday! 🛡️🍎 Ever The Original Rebel: It’s Gilpin Sunday! 🛡️🍎

Ever feel like the world needs more people who actually "walk the walk"? Long before modern activists, Houghton had Bernard Gilpin. They called him the "Apostle of the North" because he didn't just stay behind a pulpit—he took to the freezing hills to feed the hungry and stand up for the forgotten.

This Sunday, we aren't just looking at a statue; we’re looking at a legacy of radical hospitality.

What’s Happening for Families?
A Seat at the Table: We are thrilled to announce that this Sunday, our Young Church begins their Communion Preparation sessions. We believe the altar isn’t a "VIP section" for adults—it’s a family table where everyone belongs.

The Messy Reality: As always, children are the heartbeat of our service. If there’s noise, there’s life! We have our dedicated side area for the tiny ones (0–3) at the back of church and the mezzanine "Young Church" for the explorers (4+).

The Big Feast: After exploring Gilpin’s story and learning about the bread and wine, we’ll all come together to share in the community spirit (and afterward some well-earned refreshments!).
