‘Last Orders for Men’ is a social group meeting informally at the Rugby Club, Dairy Lane on the 1st Monday of the month from 8.30 pm.
“This is a chance for men of all ages within our community to meet outside of Church and we welcome any chap who wishes to come and join us.Talk is not restricted to church matters! We discuss all the major issues of the day and, most importantly, which is better, Sunderland Football Club or Newcastle United? The sharp minds and honed reflexes hammer out details of whether it is easier to lose weight, dieting or with physical exercise.
We also plan things, such as this year’s cycle ride. Occasionally mind, we may have a drink or two or more, but we all are lively and ready for work the next day. In December we hold our annual Christmas dinner at a choice venue.”
